Club Awards

Several years ago the Joe Clews Award was agreed and
implemented by the Club. This project has been very successful and we have had many worthy young winners.

This award is aimed at the Senior Schools.

To complement it a similar award for the Primary Schools was started In 2008, to recognize the 42 years of service

given   to the Club by Stan Dunn

The Stan Dunn Award is made to a boy or
girl for service to the community and/or their Primary School. There is a prize of a book for the winner in each of the Wednesbury Primary Schools that take part.

If you need any information or details,

Joe Clews

Joe was inducted into the Rotary Club of Wednesbury

on July 29th. 1964.

A Paul Harris Fellowship was awarded posthumously.

The Club wanted Joe to be remembered for his work
for Rotary, but especially for his work with young people, and the
Joe Clews Award was instituted and presented annually to a student in each of the four Senior Schools in Wednesbury for service to the community in which they live, or at the school.

This years Joe Clews awards evening is on 15 March 2018

The nominations from our three senior schools are

Rebecca Curry - Stuart Bathurst R/C School

Megan Vaughan - Wodensborough Ormiston Academy
